We work collaboratively with our referring veterinarians, clients, and each other to be the preferred provider of emergency and critical care in West Michigan.
Contact/Location
Our hospital is located at 3260 Plainfield Avenue NE in Grand Rapids, MI. We are ¼ mile north of the I-96 expressway off exit #33.

At the Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids, our goal is to work with you and your veterinarian to provide the best emergency and critical care services for your pet. When your pet experiences an unexpected illness or injury, our staff of highly skilled veterinarians, technicians, and assistants are always prepared to provide your pet with compassionate care. We are committed to assisting your veterinarian to provide comprehensive care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Whether your pet stays with us for hours or days, we will ensure your pet’s stay is as comfortable as possible. We serve communities throughout West Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ionia, Wayland, and all points between.

This place is wonderful! We had to bring our cat in with an emergency UTI. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. Ive been to this animal hospital 3 or 4 times now. The staff is so caring and understanding. I was confident when leaving my dog there over night that she was in great hands and was being given lots of love while she was with the staff here. I highly recommend this hospital for your pet emergencies.

Our money was/is limited for treatment for my daughter's cat named "Lisa"...the hospital worked with us to limit treatment based on our budget. We took the cat home and the first 36 hours were questionable. The little angel is now showing improvement!!!!! Thank you for all your care and passion.
