DR. MARILYN BRINKMedical Director
Dr. Brink began working at the Animal Emergency Hospital as an assistant during veterinary school. She found emergency medicine to be particularly rewarding and returned to AEH after graduating from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She volunteers her time helping with community events, and mentoring MSU veterinary students. Dr. Brink enjoys collecting and restoring vintage My Little Ponies, running, biking, and traveling. Dr. Brink and her husband have two children, Emmalyn and Bennett, and a wirehaired terrier dog, Mike.
Claire A.Hospital Manager
Claire is a Kalamazoo native who gravitated toward East Lansing to earn her Bachelors in Communication from Michigan State University. She began her career at AEH in November 2017 in an HR Assistant Manager role, moved into an HR Manager role in June of 2018, and has now taken on the Hospital Manager role. She is extremely passionate about animals, personal and professional development, and making a difference in this world in any way she can. Her favorite thing to do is spending time with her furry funky bunch – 4 dogs; Luna, Stella, (American Staffordshire Terriers), Marilyn Monroe (Rat Terrier mix), Janis Joplin aka ``Bubbles`` (Chihuahua) and 2 cats, Stevie Nicks and Mr. Kitty that she rescued. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring outdoors with the pups, exploring the city, as well as spending time with her friends and family.
Hannah D.Assistant Hospital Manager
Hannah is a graduate from Grand Valley State University, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Human Resources emphasis. Hannah started at AEH as the HR Intern, quickly moved into the Payroll and Benefits Manager role, and has now taken on the role of Assistant Hospital Manager. Hannah married her high school sweetheart, and they have a daughter and two Pit Bulls named Coco and Lulu.
Rebecca P.Administrative Assistant
Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Adrian College in Adrian, MI. After graduation, she traveled with her husband around the country while he pursued a career in the Navy. They eventually ended up in Grand Rapids and are thrilled to once again be back in the great state of Michigan! At AEH, Rebecca works behind the scenes to provide administrative support to the management team. When not at work, Rebecca enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
Katie K.Administrative Assistant
Katie was born in Great Falls, MT, but moved to Michigan when she was young and grew up in the Lake Odessa area. She is planning to attend school in the near future to obtain her License in Veterinary Technology. Katie has always had a passion for helping animals and their people! She and her husband have 6 furry children which include an Australian Shepherd named Sydney, a Mini Aussie named Paisley, a Border Collie named Oliver, and 3 cats: Bubby, Nala, and Sylvester. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends, teaching her dogs tricks, trying to keep up with Sydney in Agility, and volunteering at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Katie is excited to spend her time at AEH learning as much as she can and helping your animals!
